Leadership Team of Fulkerson Park
Brian G. Hedges | Lead Pastor | Elder
Brian was raised in a pastor’s family, became a Christian as a teenager, and started preaching when he was 18. He has been the lead pastor for Fulkerson Park since 2003. Brian is the author of several books, including Christ Formed in You: The Power of the Gospel for Personal Change, Licensed to Kill: A Field Manual for Mortifying Sin, Active Spirituality: Grace and Effort in the Christian Life, Hit List: Taking Aim at the Seven Deadly Sins, and Christ All Sufficient: An Exposition of Colossians. He has also written for The Gospel Coalition, Desiring God, Christianity.com, Revive Magazine, PastorConnect, Church Leaders.com, and Servants of Grace, and blogs at www.brianghedges.com. You can follow him on Twitter @brianghedges.
Brian and his wife Holly have been married since 1996 and have four children (Stephen, Matthew, Susannah, and Abby Taylor). While Brian enjoys reading, golf, chess, and good movies.
Brian has an abiding appreciation for John Calvin, John Owen, Jonathan Edwards, and C. S. Lewis, but also really enjoys science fiction. Which means his sermons and books are riddled with theological quotes in Old English juxtaposed with allusions and illustrations from Narnia, Middle Earth, Star Trek, and The X-Files.
Lyndon Azcuna | Elder
Lyndon became a follower of Christ at the age of nineteen. He was born in the Philippines but has spent most of his life in the Chicago-land area.
Lyndon has been married to Julia since 1991. They have 6 children (Donna, Hannah, Lia, Sophia, Isaac and Sam). As a family they love being with each other and enjoy serving others together. Lyndon likes playing chess on line, playing outdoor games with his children and watching Chicago Bears football on fall Sunday afternoons. Lyndon is an adventurous eater and his secret dream is to join Andrew Zimmerman in one of his shows on Bizarre Foods.
Lyndon has been influenced spiritually primarily by the book of Romans, the Puritan writers and others like A.W. Tozer, Chuck Swindoll, John Piper, Tim Keller, and Richard Owen Roberts.
Dave Enders | Elder
Dave became a Christian at 28 years old and has been a part of Fulkerson Park since 1971. Dave has been an elder since 2012 and is involved shepherding and teaching the Senior Adult class, as well as a small group.
Dave has been married to Dena for forty years and they have 4 children, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Now semi-retired after many years in the tool business, Dave enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, farming, and watching Blue Bloods, his favorite TV show. But he especially enjoys loving people and pointing them to Christ and the Scriptures.
