As a worshiping community, we exist to treasure the glory of Christ in the world.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Fulkerson Park website!

Fulkerson Park is a growing community of believers who exist to treasure the glory of Christ in the world. We are located between Niles, Michigan and South Bend, Indiana and serve the greater Michiana area. Our congregation is predominantly young (20s-40s), though we welcome people of all ages. We gather for worship on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and meet together in small groups scattered throughout the Michiana area on weeknights.

Our corporate worship is focused on cherishing the good news of Jesus Christ crucified and risen. We view the gospel not merely as the point of entry into the Christian faith, but as the unifying center to everything we believe and practice. We sing about the gospel in a rich blend of contemporary and historical songs, we recite the gospel in historic Christian creeds, we pray the gospel in intentional and thoughtful corporate prayers, we hear the gospel in teaching that seeks to explain and apply the text of Scripture with a focus on what God has done for us in Jesus, and we show the gospel in baptism and sharing the Lord's Table.

The church is not a building in which we worship, but a people to which we belong. We want to nurture healthy community and minister to men, women, and children of all races, ages, and backgrounds. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, our prayer is that both this online resource and the ministry of our church will be a blessing to your life.

Everyone loves stories. As children we begged our parents to tell us bed-time stories and as adults we spend dozens, if not hundreds, of hours over the course of a lifetime watching television and movies. Why? Well, probably lots of reasons, but at least partly because we are enthralled with story. We love the drama, the action, the suspense, and the tragic or surprise ending. This is true in every culture. In fact, stories are part of what makes any given culture what it is. Stories define our view of the past, frame our perspective for the present, and determine our vision for the future.
